Goodbye palm oil. Hello microbial oil.
NoPalm Ingredients produces sustainable microbial oils to replace the use of palm- and other tropical oils in food, cosmetics, and detergents. The oil is manufactured by fermenting sidestreams in a sustainable, circular, environmentally friendly way.
Founded in 2021, NoPalm Ingredients is on a mission to challenge companies and product manufacturers around the globe to replace palm oil as an ingredient with our sustainable microbial oils.
With our product we strive to prevent carbon emissions and protect forests, wildlife and local populations and to help contribute to change, drop by drop.
Our Technology
During our process of creating microbial oil, we use sidestreams, such as potato peels, rejected vegetables, or any other biomass that contains either sugar, fatty acids, or alcohols, as our raw material input.
The biomass is then crushed/shredded to ferment it with specific yeast. Following the fermentation process, we separate the microbial oil produced from the biomass.
The microbial oil we sell to companies is used either as a pure or fraction replacement in food, cosmetics and detergents. The left biomass is brought back into the value chain and used by other partners to valorize.
